Authentic Movement Weekend Retreat

Authentic Movement Weekend Retreat

A movement retreat for those devoted to a deep inner calling to know themself and long for the space to cultivate embodied inquiry.

This is a weekend dedicated to answering the call of your body. May this be the moment you choose to be with inner knowing, your intuition and deepen your relationship with self.

Am I ready? How will I know?

This retreat is for people who have prior experience with Authentic Movement, or at least a base knowledge of the practice. It is for those who are looking to travel beyond where they have been able to reach in a single movement session, and want to carve space in their life for deeper exploration. This container will be spacious and intentionally crafted for inner connection, self-insight, and integration.

Please come if you are longing to know your inner magma, the molten core of your being. Listen for the call, can you hear it?

What to expect:

The retreat will be held at the Somasoul Sanctuary in the forested hills of Corbett, OR where Terra lives with their partner. The retreat will start on Friday evening. We will share dinner, then come together for an openning circle to set intentions and agreements for our time together and have a short drop into the movement practice. There will be space for a maximum of 6 movers and one witness (Terra) at the retreat.

Beginning Saturday morning upon waking, we will enter a silent container. Participants are invited not to speak outside of the Authentic Movement ritual practice from Saturday morning until we close on Sunday. This practice of silence aims to bring our attention inward toward self-inquiry and reflection.

We will have two Authentic Movement sessions Saturday ranging from 25-40 minutes for movement, each followed by a speaking and listening circle. Between sessions you will have space to explore the surrounding forest, sit by the stream or the fire place, and engage in any self reflective practice what calls to you (journaling, art, meditation, etc.)

Sunday we will will include one movement session and a closing circle before departing between 12:30-3pm.

Meals

Breakfast foods provided will include a granola or oats bar, fruit, and gluten free bagels.

Dinners will be provided and will be gluten free and vegetarian. (Please let Terra know if you have any other dietary restrictions you’d like considered.)
